The Wicked is a London studio with a crew that spans nine countries. Direction, production and accountability sit in London; the craft is done by the best artists we can find, wherever they are. What binds it together is one pipeline, one taste, and an unreasonable standard for the final frame.
A 24-hour production cycle. A shot lit in Lisbon at midnight is reviewed in London at breakfast and rendered before Vancouver wakes up — your film moves forward while you sleep.
Photorealism is our floor, not our ceiling. Every material, every light bounce and every lens artefact is pushed until the frame is indistinguishable from — or better than — a physical shoot.
We hire on talent alone. Our groom artist is in Warsaw, our water specialist in Wellington — every shot goes to the strongest hands we can find, wherever they are.
Nothing is outsourced, nothing is stock. If it’s on screen, someone on this team built it — and their name is in the credits.
One pipeline, five stages, no hand-offs to third parties. You see the film taking shape at every stage — and every review happens on a call, not in a thread.
We interrogate the brief, then answer it with a written treatment, references and a first visual direction. This is where the film is won or lost.
The full film in rough 3D — camera, timing, edit. You approve the movie before a single final asset is built.
Hero assets modelled, shaded and groomed. Materials are tested under final lighting until they behave like the real thing.
Shots are lit like a film set — key, fill, practicals — then rendered overnight on the farm while the team sleeps in three time zones.
Compositing, grain, grade and finishing. Masters in every ratio and cut-down your media plan needs, delivered ready to traffic.
