What we collect, and when
We collect personal information in one situation only: when you choose to contact us.
The contact form. The form on our contact page asks for:
- Your name — required
- Company — optional
- Email address — required
- The brief — required; whatever you choose to tell us about the work
Submitting the form sends those details to us by email. They are not stored in this website’s database.
Email. If you write to us directly, we hold that correspondence in our email system.
We do not ask for, and have no way to collect, payment details through this website.
What we do not do
We think this is as important as the list above, so it is stated plainly:
- No third-party analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, and nothing on this site that reports to anyone but us.
- No advertising or tracking pixels, and no profiling.
- No third-party fonts. Our typefaces are served from our own server, so visiting a page does not hand your IP address to a font provider.
- We do not sell or share your information with anyone for their own purposes.
Cookies
This site sets only the cookies WordPress needs to function. We set no analytics, advertising or profiling cookies. If you log in to the site — which is for our team, not visitors — WordPress sets session cookies to keep you logged in. If you are simply reading the site, no cookies are set at all — which is why you have not been asked to accept any.
How we count visits
We keep a simple count of which pages are viewed, so we can tell whether anyone is finding the site. It runs on our own server and reports to nobody.
It is built so that it does not need your consent, and that is not a technicality — it is a deliberate limitation on what it can see:
- It stores nothing on your device. No cookies, no local storage, nothing that survives you closing the tab.
- It does not record your IP address, or your browser’s identity.
- It cannot recognise you. Not from one page to the next, not from one visit to the next, and not across devices. There is no identifier to recognise you by.
What it records is the page you looked at, roughly how long the page was open, how far down it was scrolled, which site you arrived from, and whether your screen is phone, tablet or desktop size. None of that is tied to a person, because there is nothing to tie it to.
Because we chose it this way, we genuinely cannot tell you how many people visited — only how many pages were viewed. We think that is the right trade.
Why we are allowed to hold it
When you send us a brief or an email, we use your information to reply and to discuss the work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to someone who has contacted us about a project — and, where a project proceeds, performance of a contract.
How long we keep it
